Shoe maintenance recommendations

After each wear, the shoes are properly cleaned and put on breasts of the right size and shape.
The shoes must be cleaned and dried before applying any shoe polish, creams, anti-stain preparations, etc.
When using these maintenance products, carefully read their manufacturer's instructions.

1. Shoe cleaning

  • Shoes with smooth or pressed leather surfaces are cleaned of dust with a soft cloth, and grease stains or other impurities are removed with a cloth soaked in an aqueous solution of detergent.
  • For good leather maintenance, after a few wears, apply a layer of shoe cream with a soft brush or cloth, then polish with a soft cloth or brush.
  • Shoes with dry antelope or nubuck leather are cleaned with a special brush for antelope leather. Do not use water as stains may remain. It is recommended to wear it in dry weather
  • Shoes with patent leather, lacquered metallized leather, clean of dust with a soft, dry cloth. It must be protected from direct contact with organic solvents (alcohol, acetone, etc.).
  • Footwear with textile uppers is recommended to be worn in dry weather. After each use, the shoes are cleaned of dust with a dry brush. Do not put in the washing machine.
  • Do not use bleach. Stains can be removed using anti-stain solution, special for textile materials, following the instructions for use recommended by their manufacturers.

2. Drying the shoes

  • The shoes dry naturally at room temperature.
  • Use shoe supports or stuff the shoe with clean paper to keep its shape. Do not use fan, radiator, fire, hair dryer or other heat sources to dry.

3. Storage of footwear

  • The footwear must not be stored near heat sources or in a humid environment and must be protected from the action of petroleum products and organic solvents.
  • After each use, the shoes are cleaned and stored on a shoe rack suitable for size and shape.
  • In order to preserve the initial shape of the shoe over time, it is recommended to use a shoe rack or a specialized support with similar functions.

General recommendations regarding the maintenance of footwear

  • In all the above categories, it is FORBIDDEN to wash the shoes with water or wash them in the washing machine and do not use bleach.
  • The footwear shall not be stored near heat sources or in a humid environment and shall be protected from the action of petroleum products and organic solvents.
  • To increase the duration of use, it is recommended to alternately wear 2-3 pairs of shoes in a period of time.
  • Luxury products require careful use and maintenance.
  • Avoid contact of the footwear with organic solvents (gasoline, alcohol, acetone, etc.)
  • Only products marked with waterproof are water resistant. Products marked with water resistant allow water to penetrate more difficult but are not waterproof.
  • Footwear with textile or unfinished leather uppers (velor, nubuck, etc.), with uppers showing decorative seams, as well as footwear with leather or stitched soles, is recommended to be worn only in dry weather, as there is a risk of water penetrating inside.
  • Since natural liners have not been chemically treated to fix the pigment, there is a risk of color migration. It is recommended to use matching or dark colored socks. But this is not a defect, but a way to protect the user.
  • The soles do not have anti-slip qualities, there is a danger of slipping, especially in the wet or cold season. The merchant cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from wearing shoes of the wrong size.
  • Do not wear high-heeled shoes while driving. Footwear can be damaged due to its use for driving cars. This fact is not considered a manufacturing defect.
  • The soles of the shoes will protect themselves from direct hits. After any shoe repair intervention, the warranty will be lost. The warranty is granted to products that have defects not attributable to the consumer. Defects arising as a result of physical wear and tear are excluded from the warranty.
